Michael Westgate trained as an antique restorer before studying fine cabinetmaking and design at Rycotewood College, Oxfordshire. He moved to North Norfolk nearly 25 years ago where he works with interior design stylist Cherry Harrison from their 17th century barn in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. A life long interest in the history of architecture and design has served as a principle inspiration for his work.
Form may follow function but God will always be in the details.

Working within the framework of traditional craftsmanship and classical design we create individual pieces of handmade contemporary and classical furniture

We strive to produce pieces of good proportion with an emphasis on elegance and hand crafted details.  By combining the use of solid hardwood with traditional veneering techniques we are able to exploit the full decorative potential of the materials.

We tend to avoid the use of high build finishes preferring instead natural oils and waxes and low build lacquers.
