This writing table is based on an 18th century bonheur du jour and is veneered in highly figured satin birch of  unusual quality and depth of colour. 

 

The black detailing is ebony and the doors open to reveal a collonade of sycamore columns on a chequerboard floor with a mirrored back.  The tops folds over to provide a larger writing surface.
